Hi, I’m Dr. Arela Agako, a Registered Clinical Psychologist and the founder of Trauma Care Psychology. I created this clinic to offer a space where people living with the effects of trauma feel truly seen, cared for, and supported with treatments that work.

I work with individuals and couples navigating Complex PTSD, trauma-related difficulties, BPD, emotion dysregulation, and high-conflict relationships, as well as anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, and OCD. My approach is both deeply human and evidence-based, drawing on DBT, EFT, CPT, and ACT to help clients heal and build the life and relationships they want.

I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from McMaster University and have published research on emotion regulation in peer-reviewed journals. At Trauma Care Psychology, my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and culturally attuned space for clients to work on their challenges.

Hi, I’m Mimoza, a master’s-level therapist at Trauma Care Psychology. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Pristina and completed a three-year Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy residency through the Ministry of Health in Kosovo, in collaboration with the University of Basel, Switzerland. I currently work under the supervision of Dr. Arela Agako, C.Psych.

My clinical work focuses on supporting individuals, couples, and families impacted by trauma, including war-related trauma, PTSD, and complex emotional challenges. I draw from humanistic-existential, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to create a safe and evidence-based space for healing and growth.
